Summer Attractions Near JMC Properties

June 21st marks the first official day of Summer and what better way to kick off the season than highlighting ways to beat the heat over the next few months! You can be sure to find a way to make a splash this Summer wherever your JMC & Co community may be.

Quincy Commons is conveniently located just 2 blocks away from Wollaston Beach. Bask in the sun and enjoy fish tacos from Baja Box located just across the street while taking in the ocean views. Head to Marina Bay for drinks and dinner on the water at one of the many popular restaurants.

For those located up North, Canobie Lake Park is a great summer activity. Canobie is famous for its many rides, games, and attractions for everyone to enjoy. The new Waterpark

, Castaway Island, is the perfect place to stay cool on a hot day. Located in Salem, NH this is just a 6 minute drive from Carlton Oaks and a 27 minute drive from Halstead Manchester

Six Flags New England is another staple amusement park that is only an hour drive from Shrewsbury Commons. Do you think you can handle the Harley Quinn Spinsanity or the Gotcham City CoasterWater Wizz is the perfect place to cool down with waterslides, tube rides, and cabanas. This is an easy ride for residents of Redbrook Apartments as it is only 15 minutes away! 

Prefer more of a challenge this summer? Take your pick of the many hikes in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. A difficult climb always ends with the best reward of a picture-perfect view! Explore the waterfalls of Franconia Notch State Park or relax by nearby Echo Lake. Looking for a shorter drive? Check out the many different biking and hiking trails throughout Blue Hills spread along the South Shore or visit World's End in Hingham for peaceful views overlooking the water.

Communities located near the city have plenty of options to enjoy the Summer weather too! Kayak on the Charles River, visit the Esplanade, ride on a Duck Boat, or hit the Swan Boats in Boston Common. MetroMark Apartments is also located near Arnold Arboretum, so you can hop on a Blue Bike and take in the fresh Summer blooms and end the afternoon by cooling off with a refreshing beverage at Sam Adams Brewery.
