Breaking Ground in Providence

Yesterday, John M. Corcoran was proud to hold a groundbreaking ceremony in parternship with Tocci Construction, Triology Development, the Office of Mayor Elorza and Rhode Island Governor Gina M. Raimondo. Upon completion, The Commons at Providence Station will bring 169 apartment homes to "The Cove" - an under-utilized area locted right next to Providence Station and the Rhode Island State House. Gov. Raimondo spoke on the housing benefit in adding a collection of market-rate and tax-credit apartments as well as local economic benefits or more residents to the Downtown Providence neighborhood.'

MetroMark Hosts RHA NextGen's Mix & Mentor Event!

Last Thursday, a group of roughly forty multifamily professionals descended upon MetroMark Apartments, a trendy new apartment community located in Jamaica Plain. Part of RHA NextGen’s First Look Mix N’ Mentor series, those who joined got to get a sneak preview of this gorgeous new community, but also meet marketing managers, leasing consultants, on-site property staff and vendors who share the same passion for multifamily knowledge.

MetroMark’s new entertainment kitchen and lounge area was perfect for our meet and greet. Featuring a fabulous hor d’oeuvres spread and complimentary beverages – those in attendance got to learn about current industry rental trends, new products, marketing strategies and discuss the current multifamily landscape in the Boston area!

After a brief community overview and introduction from manager Kelli Ahearn-Lucas and Corcoran Management marketing manager Jared Gardner, several groups were offered guided tours of the model apartment and amenities featured at MetroMark.

Each apartment community is different than the next. RHA NextGen’s First Look Mix N’ Mentor  offers the best opportunity to local professionals to see all the new product and development in the greater Boston area. We hope to see you at our next event! 

What's New at Stone Run East!

Stone Run Apartments, a Corcoran-managed apartment community in Weymouth, MA, is welcoming in a brand-new look!

While we excel in a wide range of multifamily property management aspects, one focus we take seriously is improving the quality of life for our residents and to provide them with the most up-to-date industry amenities. Stone Run was built in the mid 1980’s, and since its inception, has undergone numerous renovations, whether it’s infrastructural upkeep or physical rehabilitation of kitchens and apartment interiors. In keeping up the tradition of continuing to enhance Stone Run, Corcoran has opened up a redesigned clubhouse/pool area to go along with ongoing apartment interior renovations!

Brand New State-of-the-Art Fitness Center

What is better than breaking a good sweat after a day of work? At Stone Run we wanted to provide residents with a high-quality set of cardio machines and dumbbell free weights. That’s why we were able to utilize some extra space in our clubhouse area and create a spacious and invigorating fitness center for Stone Run’s residents! When you walk in to the new fitness center you are greeted immediately by multiple elliptical and stationary bikes with a sunny view of Stone Run’s pool area. The other side of the room features a combo of treadmills, an elliptical cross-trainer and a set of dumbbells to go along with an adjustable bench.

 

New Business Corner

Another new addition to our clubhouse is a special countertop corner area that is designed to service your printing, scanning and copying needs. Whether you have a last second report to print or a booklet that needs copies to be made, Stone Run’s brand-new media center has you covered. It’s all powered through our new WiFi connection throughout the clubhouse and sits in a cozy area for you to get your work done!

New Outdoor Patio and Grilling Area

What is better than enjoying a combination of beautiful weather and tasty grill treats? The answer: not much. Our third addition to Stone Run is a brand-new outdoor patio and grilling area that features two large gas grills to and a comfortable seating area with umbrellas. Although the season has come to an end, we can’t wait to get a full summer out of our new grilling area and patio!

A Quick Tour of Life for the First Residents of MetroMark in Jamaica Plain

On August 1st we welcomed our first group of residents to their brand-new MetroMark apartment homes! All who have moved in to one of our tasteful studio, one, two or three bedroom apartment homes are getting unmatched attention and assistance from our leasing and maintenance staff ensuring that life at MetroMark is perfect. The first of two buildings located along the 3611-3615 blocks of Washington Street features a collection of high-end amenities and apartments that are freshly-minted.  Here are some of the highlights!

A walk through the front door leads to a breathtaking kitchen. 36” soft-closing cabinets carved out of  autumn wood offer the primary visual punctuated by a stainless steel appliance package and mosaic tile backsplash. Things Are Coming Along at MetroMark!

It feels like only a few weeks ago we were dealing with rotten 40-degree temperatures and a constant cycle of rain and gloominess in the city of Boston. As you probably have noticed by now, that rough patch is long in the past, and thoughts have been redirected to looking forward to an AMAZING summer in our awesome city.
MetroMark, Jamaica Plain's newest Apartment Community couldn't be more excited to make its debut this summer as well. Stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, dark appointed cabinetry, marble tile bathrooms, central AC and more will be seen at each one of the 283 newly constructed apartments right next to the Forest Hills MBTA Station.



We are happy to say that our first residents will be moving in on August 1st! The first building of our community will be home to all new move-in's, and after that January 1st is when the rest of our future residents will get to call MetroMark home.

Four Quick Summer Weekend Trips from Boston

Ipswich and Essex

Home to the world famous “Newport Mansions”, the coastal Rhode Island city is the perfect summer destination for a number of different ages. Breathtaking ocean views and sprawling cliffs that sit next to the famed Newport Mansions are perfect for the whole family to go along with numerous beaches, parks, and recreation areas. Newport and surrounding towns are lush with high-end championship golf courses that are open to the public and can challenge players of all abilities. For the young bar-hopping crowd, Newport is your place to be! Downtown Newport has a wide-selection of bars and pubs that have outdoor seating and live music playing. Freeport and the Maine Coast

Calling all shoppers! Calling all shoppers! Freeport, Maine, known as the home of world famous clothing line L.L. Bean, has a lot to offer for its vacationers. Of course the variety of sweaters, tops, pants, socks, shoes and more from L.L is a premier attraction and with its discount outlet prices, why not splurge! However, there is more to Freeport and its surrounding towns than just shopping. Only about a 3-hour drive up I-95 North from Boston sits endless destinations for hiking, boating, seaside dining, lodging, island hopping, and more. If you want to make a quick day trip from Freeport, there are hundreds of small journeys to many of Maine’s coastal island and peninsulas nearby in towns such as Boothbay, Bar Harbor, Brunswick and more!

New York City

Getting to the majestic sights, sounds and lifestyle of New York City has never been easier. Whether you choose to travel by bus, plane, train or automobile, NYC is one of the easier and most rewarding weekend getaways you can find. If you act early enough, you can get bus tickets for as low as $1! You can usually find a cheap bus round trip to Penn Station for under $50. Amtrak Regional and Acela routes can be more pricey but provide you with effortless comfort to enjoy your trip in style while taking in scenic coastline of Connecticut. If you’re looking for a mix of cost-effective and stress-free, I recommend checking out the MetroNorth, NYC’s commuter line, from stations such as Stamford or New Rochelle. Parking is fairly easy, and both of these stations are located right off of I-95. Once you reach NYC, your choices are endless. Summer is great for dining along the Hudson at the Frying Pan or a baseball game at either Yankee Stadium or Citi Field.

Progress is Happening at MetroMark!

We finally got a taste this morning of the much anticipated (and hated) New England winter weather. Despite the temperatures dropping down into the low 20’s, and with an early Tuesday snowstorm on the horizon, construction is going full-steam ahead at 3611 Washington Street in Jamaica Plain, the future home of 283 luxury-apartments known as MetroMark.

For the past few months construction crews have been busy putting together the framework and foundation of the community’s two buildings. Upon completion, MetroMark will feature luxury finishes, high-end amenities, and just like the fellow 02130 community, an artistic flare and cultural connection.

If you’ve driven by Forest Hills recently or taken the “T” you may have noticed some new changes to the area. The famed “Casey Overpass” has been torn down, and brings new light (literally) to the Forest Hills section of Jamaica Plain. The Arborway/Washington Street intersection will continue to undergo construction for the next few months, but the long term benefits will bring safer access for bikers/pedestrians and will help with congestion. The City of Boston’s initiative to re-configure the Forest Hills intersection is right on track to be complete around the same time that MetroMark will see its first move-ins! Leasing and hard hat tours are expected to begin in the spring of 2016, our first residents will be able to call MetroMark home in the summer!
